Needs
- need for classification to “make sense” of vast content archives
- need to get more people tagging
- Tagging can be seen as dull
- Enthusiastically adopted by geeks, blank faces from average joe
- Therefore creates a skewed, tech-savvy-biased taxonomy => distorted view
- Need to educate kids / young people
- Familiarise with “good” web technology
- Improve literacy?

- Reinforce good spelling!
- Points for a word in dictionary? Points deducted for txt-speak?

- Usual tagging benefits – emergent taxonomy, etc
- Can track “hot topics” amongst target user base
- Can drive navigation along desired associative trails
- treasure hunts etc?
- bonus points for adding particular pre-defined tags?
- Word games based on tags applied/used, etc?
- Can tie-in with childrens / schools programs.
- E.g. research topic X / start at this page and find answers to these questions…
